Homesick Hank - Biography

Homesick Hank was formed in 2002 by Kudre Haan (vox/acoustic guitar), drummer Ulrik Corlin, bass player Anders Blomqvist and Jacob Vogel (guitar & backing vox).

With very different musical backgrounds like singer-songwriting, garage, musical and acid, the band found their own style inspired by northern folk tradition and americana.

The debut album was recorded in an old farm house in the south east of Sweden with Jesper Andersen (piano and accordion) and Jesper Tullin (pedal steel guitar and mandolin) as producers and additional musicians.
The debut “Hey” was released in Denmark in april 2004 and was well recieved by both radio and critics - finding Homesick Hank’s style everything from pop, rock, americana to folk and country.

Since the release of “Hey”, Jesper Andersen and Jesper Tullin have been included in the band, and in the indian summer of 2005 the band had written songs for a new album and got in touch with the American producer Paul Oldham (Bonnie Prince Billy, Amanoanon, Nicolai Dunger, Brightblack etc.)
The album “Leave it behind” was recorded in November 2005 at Rove Studio, Kentucky.

By the date 6/6/6 the new album was released by Playground Music...
